About
Our parameters for requests: 2 day min and 180 day max.
====================================================== Please use “Contact Host” for any questions prior to making a request, but NOT to circumvent the BW process to make a request to stay. ========================================================= Height of your rig is not a problem. The driveway and site are clear of low hanging branches.
Our only water supply is a shallow dug well, no city water here. Upon request we can only offer to fill 4-5 water jugs if you do not mind drinking well water until you can fill up.
We have lots of wood to burn; it's illegal to bring firewood into NH.
No problem with turn around areas or toads.
 Security Cameras on the premises.
We do not have cable or intern to offer, we stream off of our phones. VERIZON works best in these parts, however we still use a WeBoost. FALL ALERT: For those staying with us during leaf peeping season, our 70-90 foot red oaks love to grow huge acorns and during Sept/Oct tons of them are released day and night, so we will position you away from the fire pit, unless you don't mind them landing on your roof.
DUMP: We can only offer a good resource: https://rvdumpsites.net/ We have used a free dumping station at the Concord Wastewater Treatment or if an urgent need there are a number of campgrounds within 20 miles, though pricey you can dump.

Suggested Local Attractions:
If you are looking for hiking, bicycling, mountain biking, kayaking, boating, swimming, fishing, golfing, tax free shopping, restaurants, farmers' market, and fairs, etc., are all within minutes. There are 5 golf courses within :35, mid-state NH counts nearly 300 lakes, ponds and navigable rivers.
We are located 3 miles from Wentworth State Park/Beach, and we are only 6 miles from Lake Winnipesaukee where seasonally since 1872 the M/S Mount Washington has offered scenic tours and dinner cruises. Wolfeboro also hosts the annual Smith River Race and Granite Man Triathlon.
NH boasts 16 Alpine ski areas that are multi-use seasonal, some having Zip Lines.
The White Mountains are to the North, Maine and NH's seacoast to the East/South, Green Mountains to the West, all have short easy trails or some of the hardest hiking of the Appalachian Trail.
We have museums, wineries, distilleries, micro-breweries, maple sugar shacks, there are also several creameries, throughout the state, and a mushroom company that offers tours one day a week. Bank of NH Pavilion, Concerts in the Clouds, Gunstock Ski Area all hosts musical events, and Strawberry Bank, living museum are within an hour's travel.
There's the Mount Washington Cog Railway, some of the oldest Country Fairs, Loon Mountain's Highland Games, Festivals, America's Stonehenge, and Tax Free Outlet Shopping are less than a 2 hour drive. For big city restaurants and entertainment Portsmouth, NH, Portland, Maine, and Boston, Massachusetts are also within a 2 hour drive.

Northern New England has so much to offer...and we just love it here! All 4 seasons the “Lakes Region” of NH is a highly trafficked, so we recommend requesting a stay well in advance if possible.

HOST
Lifetime New Englanders. Hearty retirees with a love and respect for Nature! Details: Summertime is busy with our small vegetable and flower garden, and cutting, splitting and stacking firewood to carry us through the winter months. We love everything outdoors: National, State, all Parks in general, mountains, rivers, deserts, rail trails, everything about this country; RV travel, a beautiful sunrise/sunset, good food, good conversations, and good people. We used our stimulus checks in 2021 to buy Lectric XP bikes, they fold, we pack them in tubs and they travel with us in our tow. Now we look for rail trails suitable to trailer our Australian Labradoodle wherever we go; he loves being with us and riding in his “chariot.” We are Escapees and FMCA members/hosts, also Good Sam, Passport America, and Harvest Hosts Members (all in 2015). We have extensively traveled independently, starting with a tent, a truck camper, van, tent trailer, travel trailer, and together in timeshares, then motorcycle trips, and in 2012 we took up RVing. We loved our 44 day swing through the S and SW in 2015 and in 2016 we met so many extraordinary people on a Country Music tour with Fantasy Tours. Our 117 day life changing adventure in 2017 included the Alaska Your Way Tour (62 days with Fantasy Tours), round trip it took us a total of 14,000 miles. Hope to get back there soon and stay the first of July thru the end of Sept. We learned about BW in 2016 and readily joined; we have been hosting ever since. The philosophy of the BW is similar to the pioneer days in the expansion in our country when strangers stopped at a homestead for safety and rest! And if you haven’t picked up on it yet the bonus of being a member of BW is not only do you have a safe haven to park, but that with every visit whether a host or a guest it is a learning experience, something you'll never find in any campground or park, so needless to say our preference is BW! We enjoy interacting with people with different perspectives, they open our eyes to new way of seeing the world; and we have met some incredible people, became friends with folks whose paths we never would have crossed if not for BW! We are planning on many more years of RVing and being a Boondockers Welcome Host as long as we are located here. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We haven’t been everywhere, but it is on our list. Skills or Expertise to Share: One of us has completed a Small Engine Course. The other plans trips.

House Rules
Our House Rules are the basics of being a good Guest and showing common courtesy. Most of our Guests have that, but some have given us reason to list them. We host for altruistic reasons, offering a safe haven to travelers! We are also emergency situations Hosts in the FMCA and Escapees Directory. We have hosted many and are more than happy to share our property with you, for free we might add. It is plain and simple WE pay the mortgage. We have to trust you are who you say you are! If your profile has no personal information of who you are, no references, and not at least 1 photo of you and your rig, your request will be denied. If a Newbie with no references, our advise is prepare a good Bio profile, or give us a good introduction in your request. During your stay we are happy to help with you any way we can, but also just as happy let you do your own thing, so just give us a head's up. ========================================================= (1) DO NOT request a stay between 9pm and 7am EST, because your text request is received by hosts instantaneously. *We only leave our cell phones on for emergencies between 9pm and 7 am.* ========================================================= (2) By requesting a stay with us, Guests assume all liability for their party, pets, equipment and vehicles while enroute to and from and while on our property. ========================================================= (3) Update all of your stats before making requests. Many times people have arrived in a different rig and on occasion with children and 1 or more pets than what they stated in their profile. ========================================================= (4) COVID-19: We have health issues and have had every shot. If you have not been vaccinated and boosted, you agree to include that information in your request and maintain social distancing at all times when here. ========================================================= (5) We are NOT a childproof location. ========================================================= (6) Your stay request is for you, a BW member and people in your traveling vehicle. Invitations or plans to get together with family and/or friends should be made elsewhere, NOT here at Able Acres for insurance purposes. ========================================================= (7) Dogs: We are dog owners with parameters! Dogs are welcomed ONLY IF they are not hostile to people or other dogs, and only if they are ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES when WITH YOU outside of your rig. We have recently heard a horror story from another host where a guest's dogs tied outside slipped out of their collar while guests were inside and it killed the hosts' pet. Please do NOT leave your dog tied outside while you are in your rig, OR unleashed with you, porcupine, black bear, bobcat, mountain lions, deer and turkey live here. If your dog bites a person or another dog, we are compelled to call Animal Control. If your dog(s) are prolific barkers, don’t leave them/it alone in your rig and go off for the day. If you need to exercise your dog(s), our road is not heavily trafficked to walk them and there is a dog park nearby. Wolfeboro has a 6' leash law but our neighbors' dogs don’t know that, and we don’t encourage their visits here. ========================================================= (8) Because of the wildlife listed in (7) please don’t leave any food outside of your rig or vehicle. If you drop food please pick all of it up or notify us. ========================================================= (9) The fire department has issued us as a Dry Woodland Area, smoking outside your rig is limited to the fire pit and please do not leave your butts. ==========================================================(10) No Fireworks under any circumstances any time any year, and if you travel with firearms keep them out of sight! ==========================================================(11) Generator: Allowed. Quiet hours: 9:00 pm thru 7:00 am. ========================================================= Lastly, PLEASE LEAVE ALL HOSTS A REVIEW AT THE END OF YOUR STAY, IT'S OUR REWARD FOR HOSTING. ========================================================= Updated 10/2023
Parking & Arrival
Safety being a concern, we have to set our STANDARD MAX LENGTH here, which doesn't work with the software available for Host options. MAX length for a TRAVEL TRAILER = 26’ MAX length for a 5th = 32’ MAX length for a CLASS A = 38’ We never owned a travel trailer but now understand that a much larger turning radius is needed verses a 5th or Class A. We feel terrible that we had to cancel someone with a 38’ travel trailer at the last minute. Access Road Conditions: 1/4 mile on slightly inclined, town maintained gravel road. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Anywhere near the driveway.
