We are a living history museum. We are a reconstruction of the original fort at plantation no 4, the northernmost outpost for the British colonies, granted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1735. The first settlers arrived in 1740. This fortified village became Charlestown in 1753.

We are located in a neighborhood, please respect quiet hours 10 pm - 7 am.

We open May 3rd for the 2024 season. Costumed interpreters show life in 18th-century colonial New England, with Historical reenactments on schedule.
