About
Awaken your senses to the sweet melody of nature and industry as you set up your RV in the midst of a thriving 650-acre family farm, where the traditions of syrup crafting meld with pastoral splendor. Washington County, New York, plays host to this agricultural gema destination for RV camping like no other, where the lush landscape is a canvas painted with the majesty of the Vermont Green Mountains and the Adirondacks.
This fifth-generation farm is not just steeped in history; it is alive with the rhythmic tapping of 20,000 maple trees that each spring yield their sap to create pure maple syrup. Visitors have the unique opportunity to witness this time-honored process in an authentic sugarhouse, gaining insights into a craft that sweetens breakfasts across the land.
The farm is not only about syrup. Step into the world of textiles at the nearby Battenkill Fibers Carding and Spinning Mill in Greenwich, NY. Here, RV campers can embark on a fascinating tour to discover the intricate process of yarn makinga journey from fleece to fabric. The factory store also invites guests to peruse mill ends and seconds, perfect for finding that unique souvenir to remember your stay.
Plan your trip with the calendar in mind; whilst the farm closes its gates from August 21 to 28 for the annual Washington County Fair, adventurous RV enthusiasts are encouraged to join in the festivities. With an invitation to experience the fair's vibrant offerings, all it takes is a quick text to secure your place amid the fairground excitement.
Truly, this is a place where every sunrise promises new discoveries and every sunset leaves a sweet aftertaste of the day's adventures. Whether it's for the bucolic views, the artisanal crafts, or the liquid gold of maple syrup, an RV camping experience here connects you with the heart and soil of New York's famed countryside.
