About
Imagine waking to the gentle hum of farm life, the soft bleating of sheep, and the curious gaze of alpacas. For RV camping enthusiasts seeking a unique pastoral retreat, this charming farm offers an unforgettable experience amid the company of friendly llamas, sheep, Angora goats, and an array of other animals that call this place home. With the backdrop of a bustling farmyard orchestra, your stay promises both tranquility and a delightful education in the art of fiber farming. Your visit can be enriched with an enlightening farm tour for a nominal fee, a perfect activity for those aged two and above eager to learn the ropes of farm life and maybe even meet a few furry residents up close. This is where the rural world opens up to visitors, through engaging encounters and tales from the countryside. The quaint farm store is a treasure trove of local craftsmanship, featuring cozy alpaca socks, scarfs, and hats along with luxurious blankets crafted from the fibers of the farm's own inhabitants. Beyond wearable warmth, the store is an emporium of countryside charm, offering handmade jewelry, stuffed animals, and home-grown lavender products that are sure to remind you of your serene stay. The shelves are stocked with local delights, from jams and jellies to honey, candles, and even local pottery and soaps, making for perfect keepsakes or gifts. In the spirit of rural hospitality, guests opting out of farm purchases are warmly invited to contribute directly to the wellbeing of the farm's animal family. Enthusiasts can go a step further by inquiring about sponsorship opportunities, creating a unique and lasting bond with the farm's residents. Pet owners can rest assured that their four-legged companions are welcome in this idyllic setting, though for the safety of all, pets must be leashed to safeguard both them and the resident animals from harm. With a welcoming policy towards the use of generators, RV campers can enjoy modern comforts while embracing the simplicity of farm living. Escape the bustle of everyday life and engage with the serene pace of rural existence, all while indulging in the comforts of your RV home-away-from-home at this fiber farm, where tranquility and pastoral pleasures await.

Items for Purchase
We conduct farm tours. We have a farm store with fiber products such as yarn, roving, rugs, dryer balls, alpaca socks, gloves, scarfs, jewelry, lavender products, hand knit, crocheted, or woven items, and more value-added products. We have a paperback exchange as well. In lieu of a farm purchase, you are welcome to contribute to the care and feeding of our animals. If you’re interested, you could even ask about sponsoring one of our animals. We are about halfway between Youngsville and Franklinton (4 miles each way) and about 15 minutes from Wake Forest or Louisburg where there are unique shops, a variety of restaurants, and breweries. We will happily provide recommendations. You are welcome to stay more than one night for $20 per night. Propane is available from Tractor Supply approximately 5 miles away in Youngsville on US Hwy 1 at 55 Gatekeeper DR 27596. (919) 556-2726. You are welcome to use your hose to hook up to our outdoor faucets for water.
Parking & Arrival
While your GPS might direct you to turn into a subdivision, Two Dachshund Farm is not in a subdivision. We are between two subdivisions on Cedar Creek Road. There is a sign at the front of our property and on our mailbox, and our driveway is directly off Cedar Creek Road. Please let us know your ETA so we will be sure to be home when you arrive. Please follow the driveway behind the house and garage to the gravel surface and then check in with us for parking instructions. You can pull into the yard in the back if you need the space to maneuver. There is a bright outside dusk to dawn light on our shop building that you might keep in mind when parking. Feel free to walk around the farm, just do not go into the animal enclosures without a guide. Just ask if you would like to stay additional nights. . You are welcome to fill up your water using our well if you provide your hose. We can also suggest other places to visit and restaurants in the area.
