We are a small farm homestead in a neighborhood in Western North Carolina. From where you would park your vehicle, it is less than 100 yd to our house, and you can see the neighborhood road and a couple of houses across the pastures, so it is not 100 percent private. The neighbors are usually quiet. There is farm noise from the sheep and goat baaing and the rooster crowing. We are about 10 to 15 minutes from Murphy, Brasstown, and Andrews. Attractions near here are mostly outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking or rafting on the rivers, swimming or boating on the lakes, or scenic drives. There is also a casino about 10 minutes away. We are near the John C Campbell Folk School, which offers classes on every art or craft under the sun, plus often has contradances and concerts open to the public in the evenings. We have fenced in pasture where some dogs can run free. Please ask us if it is available, and which one to use, before you do that, and supervise your dog at all times.

You can park on the paved driveway in front of the garage, or on the grass. The spot in front of the garage on the paved driveway starts to slope upward, so not best for long vehicles. There is maybe 20 feet before it starts sloping up. There are a couple of longer fairly flat places between the driveway and the pasture fences. They are not completely flat or graded. They are just our grassy yard. You can see these spots in the photos. There is water available via hose if you would like to fill a tank, but not right where you would park.

Please keep all pets leashed at all times outside your vehicle, including sweet nice pets. Please supervise your children closely at all times. No smoking outside your vehicle. No generators. **Absolutely DO NOT feed the horse without discussing it with us, because he has no back teeth and could choke and die.**. Don't feed the pigs meat or anything that has touched meat, as that is illegal in North Carolina.
