Our home is in a quiet, older, suburban neighbourhood that is less than a half hour drive by car to downtown Halifax. There is a Metro Transit bus stop about a 32 minute walk away. Uber and Bob’s Taxi (902-463-2222) are also available. Minutes drive to local eateries, entertainment, etc. World class walking and biking trails are 5 minute walk away at Shubenacadie Canal Park and walking and biking trails on private land are a 5 minute walk away in the other direction. Shopping at MicMac Mall, Dartmouth Crossing, downtown Halifax, etc. Museums, the Discovery Centre, and other attractions are a car or bus ride away. Peggy’s Cove, which you can get to by car, is a highlight for anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. Nova Scotia’s Bay of Fundy (Burntcoat Head Park) is about a 45 minute drive, and is world reknown for having the highest tides in the world.
