About
Wooded acre lot. Needs TLC in exchange for a safe place to camp. Totally off-grid. It is four miles from town and shopping. Stock up on firewood and kindling. Don’t leave your trash. There’s a small orchard and pecan trees. Be mindful of the few thorn trees in the area. Grand Lake is one mile away as the crow flies north. You can walk through the area and we used to swim off the boat ramp. It belongs to the RV park so they may or may not allow it if owners have changed.

I am a jack of many trades and master of a few. My friends and family say I work too much; that might be true. I have been on this planet for quite some time, and we never know for how much longer, right? Life is not an easy journey for all, so I hope that providing access to property that I rarely use will make someone's journey a little less stressful. I love to travel but hate packing. Having an RV/camper/skoolie/vehicular home allows the ability to be mostly packed and ready to go on adventures much easier. I am a Registered Nurse and have two different employers. In one job, I get to work from home doing remote triage, and in the other job I have to be on-site to do telephone triage and patient logistics. I enjoy both but do not want to do either full-time. I also have my own business, but I don't put as much time into it as it deserves because well, it doesn't pay the bills but does provide me with a creative outlet to make beautiful things for customers. I also write in what little spare time I have. If you haven't checked out Kindle Vellas, you should. There's a certain writer by the pen name of Desi Rey that you might like if you enjoy fiction, especially science and/or paranormal fiction. Her stories are based in the four-state area of KS, AR, MO, and OK. I love the outdoors and being out of the city limits when I can be. I think that my property is perfectly situated. Close to the highway for easier access but far enough away that you don't have to worry about a pet or child being in danger. The property is on a dirt gravel road, half a mile from the highway. There's a cattle ranch across the road on the west side and some distant neighbors in the other 3 directions. The sunsets over the field are remarkable. To the north, you can walk down to the lake about a mile away. There are no bike lanes, but it is a great area to go biking or walking down the numerous dirt roads. If you love the outdoors, there is plenty to do in the area, river floats, cave exploring, swimming, fishing, etc. So, what do you like to do when you boondock? Who travels with you and what do they enjoy when traveling? What are the age ranges in your party? Are you retired, vacationing, or full-time road warrior(s) and/or do remote work? What kind of wheeled "home" are you traveling in/with? Do you have plenty of chigger, tick, and mosquito protection? Do you like critters and listening to the coyotes yip/howl at night?

House Rules
No generators after 9 pm. There are snakes so be careful. Children and pets should not be left unsupervised. There’s an old storm cellar that can shelter you from tornadoes. It hasn’t been used in 10 years. The property has recently been cleared and there is plenty of firewood. You may have to do some cutting it down to size if you have a wood stove in your rig. Campfires are permitted if you have water on your rig to control it and there is a low fire risk in the area. Call Phone: 918-786-9111 to verify fire safety with the rural fire department.
Parking & Arrival
There is a metal pole barn on the SW edge of the acre. This should help you identify the location. the ground in front of the barn/shop doors is solid and good for parking. Avoid the leaning broken tree for your safety. The property has been recently cleared and there is a lot of firewood available on site. Please check to make sure that it is safe to have a campfire first by calling Phone: 918-786-9111 There are open grass fields that catch fire easily so be sure you have enough water on your rig to control your campfire.
