About
Quiet and private bush lot available for dry camping (no hookups) within village limits of Bayfield Ontario. Easy walking to public beach, village restaurants, shopping and gorgeous Lake Huron sunsets. The village of Bayfield has a 30km speed limit we ask you to respect this. It is usually faster to get about if you walk or bike during the summer season as parking is limited uptown and at the lake. Suggested Local Attractions: Walking distance to Village of Bayfield Ontario beaches, restaurants and bars. On Lake Huron, Grand Bend, Goderich, beach walking, golf, many trails to hike.

HOST
We have always enjoyed dry camping on family and friends properties and now looking forward to expanding our boondocking experience and sharing our site. Details: Started remote camping in the 70's with a 2 man Eureka and a 16' tripper canoe. Over the years evolved to larger tents and canoes and eventually to our Roadtrek Zion. We have always enjoy getting away from the beaten path and dry camping. We now live in Bayfield, ON and own an adjacent 1 acre treed lot that is open to boondockers. Our lot is within walking distance of beaches, restaurants and bars. It is a quiet and private retreat. Home Town: Bayfield, Ontario Favorite Boondocking Locations: Small villages, country lots and forests. Skills or Expertise to Share: Electronics, handyman and lots of boondocking experience

House Rules
We are NO GIFT hosts - come and enjoy all Bayfield has to offer. We cannot accept tow trailers there is a tight entrance turn We have a limit of 1 dog per guest. Please feel to park anywhere in the clearing. Either on the grass or wood chips is fine. NO CAMPFIRES You will notice a camera in a birdhouse on a pine tree to the east of the campsite. That was installed because we were told some kids were using the lot when we weren't around. We do not monitor the camera, but feel free to position yourselves to be out of view if you wish. As any responsible dog owner is aware you must leash and pick up after your pet. We ask they not be a "barky" dog - we have neighbours and many other dogs walking Enjoy our downtown, restaurants, trails and parks while you are here!.
Parking & Arrival
Driving South on Lidderdale St you will see 22 on a large rock. The entry point to the site is the very next entrance - it is secluded you will see 26 on a plaque just inside the entrance. It is a grass clearing in a pine and cedar bush. Room to drive in and complete full circular turn to leave without any backing up - we recommend parking at the entry and do a walk about to determine your best spot to park for you. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: - none we do NOT accept tow trailers
