About
We have one spot in our short driveway just below the church. Quiet location in a rural hamlet surrounded by lakes and scenic drives. Suggested Local Attractions: 25 Minutes from historic Perth or Almonte, for shopping, summer festivals and the largest display of Lady Slipper Orchids in North America is a short drive away. 3 Golf courses within a half hour drive. One hour from downtown Ottawa, and slightly further to Kingston.

HOST
Solo senior, living the dream Details: My time is spent in my van and in an RV. Until last year, I have been running a B&B and Day Spa. With Covid, it was necessary to convert to long term rentals, which freed me to go on the road myself. Being big into sustainability, I like the idea of a very small footprint; hence the conversion of the Ford Transit to a camper van. Home is nestled in the hamlet of Watson's Corners, a hour from Canada's capital, Ottawa; less than 1/2 hour from Perth and just over an hour from Kingston. About 3 1/2 from both Toronto and Montreal. Being fairly new to RVing, there was one spot on the St. Lawrence that was truly inspiring and which gave me the idea of looking more deeply into boondocking. Staying with Ginny and Perry in New Boston, Tx was a highlight on the way to and from AZ in the winter of 2019/20 and ditto for Carol and Bill in Cadiz, Kentucky. In the winter of 2021/22, I revisited Carol and Bill on my way to AZ and have bought an RV lot, with RV, in Quartzsite. My winter in AZ was beyond magical. The drive above Lake Superior on my return trip is one that I'll never tire of. My next adventure, with a friend this time, will be east through QC, NB and on to N.S. (incl the Cabot Trail) and P.E.I. Into alternative healing, I walked the Camino in 2010, and am looking forward to an end-to-end hike of 911 km on the Bruce Trail this summer, with, and this is the best part, my youngest daughter.
