About
This is a rustic spot between an old barn and farm sheds, with a light use County Road on one side, and the view of a marshy shallow bay and low mountains in background on the other side of the greater Ottawa River. The site is relatively calm and reclusive; Not Near our residence; It is located 400m from our house, so the spot is somewhat secluded; (but you will be located +/- 50m from a quiet secondary country road.) Due to the remoteness from our home, the site is very tranquil, and you will be left to your privacy; We might come by briefly once or twice a day to verify if everything's OK related to the site . Very rustic and rural, but can be picturesque, depending an your taste. Has direct access to the end of a marshy bay, and a short nature walk / path. The mentioned County Rd 24 is a designated Cycle Route in both directions. Area is also great for canoeing, kayak, photography, birdwatching, meditating, etc. NOT recommended with children under 10 yrs of age. Please Note that: We are NoT Boondockers ourselves, and so We offer our site out of the kindness to be able to share such a rare, beautiful Spot at a fraction of the cost of regular campgrounds ; Therefore, your donation is greatly appreciated, and helps directly to maintain and improve the site. Suggested Local Attractions:Town of Alfred. Alfred Bog(walk) Conservation Area. The Alfred Lagoons. Ottawa River. L'Orignal Beach. Town of Hawkesbury/ Le Chenai (Watershore Park), Town of Grenville, QC; Olympia Bowl(ling) in Hawkesbury, The Riviere Rouge/Park(ing and trails), Park de Voyageurs/ Voyager Park. House Rules
Common sense; not recommended with children. Basic donation apreciated (for minor grounds keeping) cost is $15 (and +$5 more for 15AHookUp) This important 'donation' helps Us offer You what is hopefully to be a very wonderfull event; We use the funds to Cut (a lot) of Grass, Prune Trees, Grade the Driveway, WALKing TRAILs available to You, AND pay for the Electric Service Utility Panel exclusively for the Camping Spot. We emphatically encourage Open comunication: ie: "don't be shy to ask..." or ´just call us' ... We hope that your experience is as close as possible to what is described by the Reviews and Feedback; if that were not the case or if there are/were any issues, please let us know. Thank You.
