About
We have five flat acres in the small town of Glide and are easily accessible. We are 18 miles east of Roseburg off the scenic Umpqua highway that goes to Diamond Lake and Crater Lake. You will take Highway 138 east from Roseburg for about 16 miles, and we are two miles off the highway on a paved road. We have had an RV pad put in made of compacted rock and added a 30-amp electrical hookup. You will need to arrive in daylight! We feel best positioned to accommodate motor homes or truck campers but have had a few SMALL travel trailers (under 25 feet) with no issues. We don't feel our location is suitable for large trailers or fifth wheels due to the sharpness of the turn back onto the driveway. We had the pad designed so that you will pull in forward for the best view from your patio, with the electric box on the driver's side. You can unhook your tow car once you get onto our long driveway and then position your rig. When leaving, you will need to back out and position your rig toward the driveway and then hook your car up. There should be plenty of room. If you have satellite TV, you should find good access to the signal. We also have good cell service here. We are on a well and a septic system and cannot offer you water or dumping facilities. If you need to dump, you can do it at the Douglas County Fairgrounds at the south end of Roseburg right off of I-5. Their dump is easily accessible, and we understand the current fee is $10. They have potable water as well. I believe you can also dump at Love's travel stop at the south end of Roseburg where there is no fee but also no water. Propane is available at the Chevron station in Glide. There's also a Dollar General in Glide for your last-minute needs. Suggested Local Attractions: We are 65.8 miles from Diamond Lake and 73 miles from Crater Lake, which is just beyond Diamond Lake. You could make a nice scenic day trip to either of those in your tow vehicle without having to drive your rig any farther up the highway. There are several beautiful waterfalls on the way up there as well. We don't fish, but that's one of the biggest attractions of the area! You will be two miiles from the North Umpqua River. There are also lots of nice wineries in Roseburg, as well as grocery stores, Walmart and Costco for stocking up! Glide does have a couple of great little eating places as well as a Chevron station that sells propane.

Retired RV-ing couple loving Oregon Details: We retired and moved from California in 2016 to a five-acre property in southern Oregon. Dick was a business owner, and I was a secretary. We love it here and would like to share our scenic little piece of the world. We belong to a local FMCA chapter. Home Town: We have been in Glide, Oregon since 2016. Before that, Janice lived in Anaheim, California, her entire life, and Dick grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts. He came to California in the Marine Corps in 1962 and stayed. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We haven't boondocked much yet! Skills or Expertise to Share: We have been motor-homing since 1989 and might have accumulated some knowledge!

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: We are easily accessible. There is a very short gravel road between the paved street and our paved driveway. Everything is flat. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: There is plenty of parking for a tow vehicle near the rig. It will have to be unhooked before parking the rig, but there is room on our property to do that.
