Chelsea, Quebec is a great location to visit the federally operated Gatineau Park with over 200 km of walking and hiking trails and some great bike trails. Some of these trails can be accessed 50 m from our front door. Many of the roads in the park are closed to motor traffic much of each week. We are 1km from a 22km Chelsea shared bike/walk community trail on a converted rail corridor that follows the Gatineau River. Ottawa, Canada's capital is 20 minutes south of us. It is a major city [~1million] with many urban attractions and a very extensive network of bike routes and shared biking/walking paths. Shopping, the arts, and entertainment are all at hand. Chelsea and even more so Gatineau and Ottawa have a wide variety of restaurants presenting food flavours from many areas of the world.
