About
Honored to be among only about a dozen "Hall of Fame Hosts" with Boondockers Welcome. We strive to make this an enjoyable place to stay! Enjoy the dark night sky and country quiet atmosphere. We're outside the city limits and enjoy the peaceful country feel, but only 10 - 20 minutes from lots of things to see and do. We do what we can to keep this a peaceful and quiet place that everyone can enjoy though being outside the city limits sometimes has its own noises. We have enjoyed hosting so much that we built 9 spots with full 50/30/20 amp hookups and we're aiming for a “Campground” feel. The key word is “campground” not trailer park. We offer free boondocking and $10/day hookups cash upon arrival ($15 for 50AMP) for UP TO 4 nights within 90 days, but also offer extended stays at a higher rate through Hipcamp. We suggest taking advantage of your Boondockers Welcome advantage first! Additional perks and amenities are available and we welcome donations to help keep those extras available. Seasonally we have a large natural garden, chickens, free range white dove/pigeons that circle the property and a couple of friendly farm dogs that stay in our yard. We grow everything naturally without chemicals. In winter months it's much calmer with only birds and dogs to care for. We can often give tours of our homestead and animals after our workday is done so let us know if you'd like a tour. (when in season) Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. "Friends in RV Spaces" Within 10 miles, Eagle Mountain Lake, Lake Worth, Fort Worth Nature Center, Walmart, & lots of places to eat Within 10 - 20 miles, Fort Worth Stockyards (a must if you're new to Texas, ask us for insider info), Billy Bobs Texas - the world's largest honkytonk Malls, Botanic Gardens, Water Gardens, Downtown Fort Worth. Museum of Science and History Night life 30 - 40 miles to Arlington which has theme parks, ball parks, stadiums... Texas Motors Speedway, Weatherford, and Horse tracks are also less than an hour away. About an hour from Dallas Please mention if you need hookups and if you prefer a pull through spot upon sending initial request since not all spots have the same options. Pull through spots and pet friendly spots are limited and not always available. It's very helpful to know if you are traveling with kids or pets. Noise will not be tolerated, and pet rules are strictly enforced.

Texas couple exploring new adventures Details: We’re mostly quiet and self-sufficient, though we do like to get to know people when we have the chance. We now work full time on our small homestead where we also host other travelers. We have a large natural garden, chickens and a couple of farm dogs that stay behind when we travel. We stay busy with all the responsibility but we are passionate about RV life. The sights we've seen on these trips are great but the people we meet are what make the trip, and that's a big part of why we host. Being new empty nesters, we're always looking for new adventures & ideas. Sam is a cautious adrenaline junky, and Sarah is becoming more open minded about living on the edge. We have a Facebook page for our travels at https://www.facebook.com/friendsinrvspaces Home Town: Azle, Texas (Northwest of Fort Worth) Favorite Boondocking Locations: Airventure in Oshkosh Wisconsin, Texas Renaissance Festival near Houston, and random off-grid boondocking spots miles from roads. Skills or Expertise to Share: We are both somewhat experienced at Farming & Gardening (naturally without harmful chemicals) Sam is a Private Pilot & (former) owner of a Cessna 172. Sarah is a great cook and skilled at canning what we grow. We are in the process of building a small campground on our homestead and have done all of the design and construction ourselves.

Please mention if you need hookups and if you prefer a pull through spot upon sending initial request since not all spots have the same options. Pull through spots and pet friendly spots are limited and not always available. It's very helpful to know if you are traveling with kids or pets so we can save you the right spot. All spots have water, most have power, and Sewer but there CAN NOT BE ANY BACTERIA KILLING CHEMICALS in your holding tanks if using our aerobic septic system. If you use bacteria killing treatment then you’ll have to empty tanks before arriving or after leaving. PLEASE DON'T ROAM THE PROPERTY OR VISIT THE ANIMALS WITHOUT AN ESCORT, it's a farm so there are some general safety concerns. Children must be supervised at all times and pets must stay on a leash. Please walk pets toward the road, not toward the garden and animals. Trash must be disposed of in a certain way. Some of our guests have placed trash in our neighbors trash can at the road and caused us lots of grief so please place any trash in kitchen sized bags, secure it, and leave in the can next to the little red building. Communication and a good attitude are important! Boondocking is free, but power and sewer or other services that we pay for should be reimbursed (cash upon arrival). There is also a donation box on the porch of the little red building. Please do not drive on the grass, the ground is soft and will leave ruts. Please don't invite guests to our property without our approval. Please be courteous to other guests, especially after hours, lights out, and quiet so we can all enjoy the solitude. A guest mindset goes a long way, and loud, rude, or intrusive guests will be removed immediately. Pet rules are strictly enforced! We CAN NOT ACCEPT after dark arrivals!
