About
We are on 9 wild acres in Blanco County. We have a shady but non-level pull-thru RV site with water & 30A electric hookup, sometimes park my trailer there when l'm planning on leaving again soon, but generally park mine under rain barn. It's also possible to park on the straight/level section of drive leading to pull-thru site and still hook up to water and electricity, but no shade there. And you have to make the turn thru full hook up site to get out, or else back out. Not really suitable for big rigs, unless you want to dry camp up close to road. That's also a possibility if you want to use slide-outs or awning. Suggested Local Attractions:We are right in the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country: less than an hour from Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Canyon Lake, San Antonio, Boerne, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, and many other destinations.

HAPPY URBAN ESCAPEES! Details: We moved to the Hill Country from Dallas 27 years ago and have never regretted it for a moment! I am a retired midwife, my husband of 46 years is a retired architect & builder. We bought our place for the property, which is a rugged microcosm of the Hill Country, with cliffs, lots of trees, and a part-time creek, depending on the aquifer level. The house -- apparently hand-built (by drug-crazed hippies?) in the early '70s -- has grown on us. We love traveling to beautiful areas, exploring, easy hiking, eating well, good wine and craft beer. Home Town: Blanco County, Texas Favorite Boondocking Locations: Western U.S., but looking forward to heading North and East, including into Canada, in next few years. Baja California also has some appeal.

House Rules
No generators after 10pm or before 7am. No fires of any type without in-person discussion and express permission — wildfires are a serious concern here. No off-leash pets, except inside our 2 acre fenced yard. No children without close parental supervision.
Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: Paved road to caliche drive. I can maneuver my 26' vintage (so <8' wide) Airstream around the turns without much trouble, but you need to coordinate arrival with me so I can help you get parked. One section of our drive has low-hanging trees. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Lots of places to park on property
