About
Very close to Harvey Lake. There is a public beach with parking and lake access just 1/2 mile to the east. A very scenic location very popular with leaf-peepers in the Fall, hikers and bike riders from Spring to Fall, kayaking in the Summer, and general sight seeing and photography all year long. Located in the heart of The North East Kingdom of Vermont. Suggested Local Attractions: The nearby town of St. Johnsbury is noted for The Athenium library, Fairbanks Museum, and Dog Mountain. Just to the north is Burke Mountain with renowned winter skiing and warmer weather mountain biking. Just five miles to the New Hampshire border.

Kathleen and Frank. We are inquisitive and active, there is always something new to learn and experience. Details: We are both retired, but busy, and enjoy our corner of this quiet small northern Vermont town, and sometimes travel far away. Home Town: Barnet only has 1660 people. And, all of Vermont only has about 860,000 people, so as you can imagine most is pretty rural. There is a lake nearby that draws visitors from away in the summer, but it is much less populated in the winter. Although Burke Mountain just 40 minutes north is a popular skiing destination for New Englanders and Canadians in winter its also popular for mountain bikers for three seasons. This part of Vermont is mostly hilly forest and farmland. We are just 5.5 miles west of I-91 Exit 18, a major north-south thoroughfare between Massachusetts and Canada. Nearest towns of any substance - Danville, St. Johnsbury, Lyndon, and Burke to the north; Wells River and Woodsville to the south All 15-40 minutes away. Skills or Expertise to Share: Kathleen - a retired speech language pathologist and author... Frank - a retired automotive business owner and real estate investor. We have experience and skills in communication, genealogy, research, tools, electrical & mechanical things (think MacGyver), and problem solving of all kinds. We both enjoy interacting with people and meeting new friends.... We have a Little Library in the yard, so plan on replenishing your reading materials. Take a book or leave a book. Or, take several, we always have many more that we have read, and ready to go in the library.
