About
Sitting on a mountain with nearly 6 acres of wooded property we welcome you to stay with us. We have 3 young kids, a small dog, and tons of chickens. We travel a lot during the summer months but will make every effort to accommodate you. We live on a private dirt road. The main road is paved and well maintained. Both the main road and our private road have STEEP areas (7-10% grade). Be aware of inclement weather, there is often low visibility fog during shoulder seasons. The dirt road to our home is about .4 miles down the mountain, it is steep and has some sharp turns. Large towable trailers and rigs are not possible. We have a fairly level paved area near our workshop that can accommodate up to 23 ft vehicle, separate tow vehicle parking next to it or in the driveway is possible. Some maneuvering is needed due to large boulders nearby. We park out 19' there with a truck with no issues. We also have a large gravel area near our barn that we can bring an extension cord out to that backs up to the forest. It is a narrow passage to the barn and over-width rigs are not possible. There is more space to maneuver in this area to park and it is more private. We can accommodate 15 amp hookup and have a well spigot nearby for you to put water in your tank. - We have a zip line, and playground for kids - Areas for fires are nearby on the property - We usually have fresh eggs you can have for meals Close to: -Many breweries and wineries in the area -Shenandoah river at the base of the mountain (fishing, tubing, hiking!) -Several Appalachian Trailheads nearby (Morgan's Mill Rd, Route 7, Route 50, Bear's Den), you can even hike down our private road to an access trail to the AT. -Close to Bluemont, Round Hill, Purcellville, and Berryville -About 25 minutes from I-81, I-66, and Rt 15 -Sky Meadows state park is 15-20 minutes away We can make local recommendations for you!

Outdoor-loving family, we have 3 young kids and are always trying to have an adventure. We live in Virginia within hiking-distance from the Appalachian trail on a mountain. We love food, beer, wine, and finding great hikes. We have a small 19’ molded fiberglass trailer.

We both work full time so while we are unavailable during the day to help you physically many times we can be a text/call away. We can help you if you arrive after 5:30-6 pm, but it's an easy area. Due to the nature of the steep mountain roads and narrow driveways/turns large rigs are not possible. We can navigate easily with a 19' trailer. I would not recommend anything over 23'. The small paved area we have can be backed into and tow vehicle parking is nearby. -No loud generators (quiet inverter only) -No smoking -Well-behaved children welcome and must be under your supervision -No parties -Quiet hours are 9 pm-8 am -Respect our neighbors, we all live on 5-6 acres but can hear each other, be respectful -Respect the natural state of the property, do not cut trees or destroy wildlife -Friendly pets only (we have a dog and children, no aggressive animals allowed) -Pets must be leashed as we have livestock, clean up after your pet We are a small farm and there are natural hazards that come with that. Do not touch the fence, it is electric. We are not liable for injury from you exploring/using the property, it is at your own risk.
Parking & Arrival
Can accommodate up to 23' vehicle in the paved area at our workshop. Tow vehicle must be unhooked to not block our driveway. Tow vehicle can park next to it, in the lawn area above the workshop or by our barn. Near the barn is a gravel area that can also be used for camping. It is more rustic and accessible by a small dirt road along our property. No large rigs will fit on this road. The gravel area is backing up to the forest and is more private. No water in this area. A steep and curvy dirt road from the main paved road leads you to our gravel driveway. We tow our 19' just fine here, but be away of the terrain.
