About
A quiet location in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. Nearby are biking trails, hiking, quad trails, rivers and streams. Town of Darrington is 6 miles away. Entrance to North Cascades National Park is 32 miles away. Our place is located next to state land with miles of gravel logging roads and trails. If you have a quad, SBS, or cycle, you can ride for hours, often without seeing anyone else. This is a great website for learning more about all the things our town of Darrington, WA has to offer. https://www.discoverdarrington.com/ No trailers longer than 30’ total since it is a narrow driveway with a couple of somewhat tight turns. 5th wheels might have a height problem with limbs. We have a 30' trailer pulled by pickup and have no problems. If you are a van, class B, class C, or trailer under 30', you shouldn't have problems. Class A's under 30' OK. There are no elevation changes, all pretty much level.

We have been living in the Pacific Northwest since 1999 and feel fortunate to have found such a beautiful place to settle down. My spouse and I enjoy our urban (Seattle) and rural mountain (Darrington) life combo. Since retiring from our technology careers, we have been traveling. We have taken multiple long RV trips, traveling the western US, visiting National Parks. We've stayed at HH and BW when on our trips and have always enjoyed them. We are happy to share our mountain getaway with other HH members.

*Quiet time 10 pm to 9 am. No generators during this time. No loud pet noises. *Fires only in a contained stove such as a Solo stove or a gas stove. We have a Solo stove that you can borrow and we have firewood available (no charge). *Well water is available via hose. You are welcome to fill your tank. *15A power is available depending on where you park. *Pets are welcome but you do need to clean up after them. *Wifi available on our porch where you are welcome to relax and connect. Not super fast but no data limits so you can check your socials and download a movie or two. *Verizon is the only cell service that I know of out here. It isn't great but generally it works. *4 wheelers welcomed with some limitations. No more than 2 wheelers per stay. Must observe quiet hours. 10mph max until on public road (200 yards from our place). A WA ORV sticker might be a good idea. However, in 20 years here, I've never had an interaction with any sort of governmental entity but it's your decision. I can provide some directions for your ride. If schedule permits, I may guide/join you if you want.
