About
Spend the night next to a scenic turn-of-the-century farmhouse with easy access to recreation, fishing, farmers' markets, and all the small-town charm of Skagit Valley close by. Stretch your legs with a walk along the dike that surrounds Fir Island. Picnic during sunny mornings on our lush green grass in the meadow next to the immortal Yellow Transparent apple tree, lounge in the shade of the Mighty Oak in the yard, or snooze in your rig tucked beneath the canopy of the Sprawling Linden during the heat of the day. Take a day trip to tour historical old town Mount Vernon, Sedro-Woolley, or Conway if you like. There are plenty of farm stands during the summer, and neighbors usually have organic eggs for sale during the summer months. If the apples on the Yellow Transparent tree next to the barn are ripe, feel free to pick a few - just keep in mind that they are an heirloom baking apple, so they taste best straight off the tree if you're going to eat them out-of-hand. If you forget about them for a couple of days, they make wonderful applesauce! If you're staying with us in June, July, or early August bring your strongest bug spray! Due to the damp areas around the Skagit River (across the street) the mosquitos are abundant.

House Rules
Please pack it in, pack it out - this site does not have trash service. No access to the inside of the house or barn, do not go in the corn field. No camp fires or grills please. No off-leash area - please keep pets attended and safely leashed at all times, as this location is unfenced and near the road. Please only park on the driveway, not the lawn. It gets soupy after a rain! I will meet you when you show up if requested. Please don't show up without confirming via text or call first!
Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: Please beware that anywhere off the straight driveway may be muddy if it has rained in the past few days! Please back in and try to stay on the driveway. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: If you are towing a trailer or fifth wheel, you will want to turn onto Polson, then make a K turn so you can back in from the road (the T makes it pretty easy if you take the long way round) so you can get straight out when you want to unhook and explore without having to turn around. Please also note that the linden tree releases sap when it is in bloom (late spring), which will collect on your paint/windshield if you park vehicles directly under it.
