About
We can offer a spot in our driveway that is fairly easy to back into. There is plenty of room but our house is up a long driveway not visible from this site. We are located 3.5 miles off of US Route 50 between West Union, WV and Salem, WV. This is a quiet spot where no one will bother you or your property. Suggested Local Attractions: North Bend State Park is located about a half hour from here (it has RV camping spots). Honestly, there is not much else around here. This is not a spot to stop for entertainment. Only a quiet place to stay.

Retired couple traveling with two cats and a dog. Details: Nannette and I (Peter) purchased our first and only RV, a 2005 Newmar Dutch Star in November of 2016. Our first outing took us across the country and back on a 10 week journey. Since then, we have travelled four additional winters, making it west to Arizona a total of 4 times. We have been able to boondock for several weeks in the deserts of Arizona and California and these were some of our favorite times. We have mainly traveled in the winter and our summer plans have been very limited and uncertain. We are generally home for a lot of the summer, if someone could use a place to stay in this area. We live in Salem, West Virginia on a 100 acres, hardly any of which is flat. We have a 10 year old very nice mixed breed dog and two cats, both of which travel well with us. We can offer an area near our work shop that has 50 amp electricity and water. We drive our 40 foot motor home the 3.5 miles from US Route 50 to our property but the road is curvy and we drive it carefully. Turning into our road is tricky and even though we do it all the time, it may be easier to follow one of us further up the paved road about a 1/2 mile to turn around and hit it from a much easier angle. 39.25807, -80.66039 Home Town: Our mailing address is Salem, West Virginia but we actually live in the neighboring, Doddridge County outside any town limits. We are about 25 miles away from a Walmart, just to give you an idea. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Our experience is limited but we loved being in the deserts of Arizona and California.

Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: The road into the road our house is on, is paved and wide enough to accommodate tractor trailer vehicles but it is narrow and curvy and requires care. We usually un-hook our tow vehicle at a wide spot just off of US route 50 and Nannette drives the pick-up in front to be sure there are no large vehicle that I will meet. The actual road we live on is very narrow and gravel. That being said, we take our 40 motor home in and out with out a problem, but we are used to it. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: It would be best to un-hook a tow vehicle before driving up our road. If anyone is interested in staying here, I would give instructions that make coming to this location fairly easy. We have gotten used to turning our 40 foot motor home into our road but I would want to help someone else that has never done it. Alternatively, I would send them further up the road to an easy turn around spot to approach from a better angle.
