About
A wonderful place for anyone who enjoys to watch wildlife or participate in other outdoor activities. Country setting that overlooks a creek and several ponds. Restored prairie and wildflower gardens. Blueberries (July) and fresh garden vegetables in season. Across the road is a strawberry farm with berries available in season (July). Our neighbors are Amish, so you may see a horse & buggy on our road; so please be aware of this while driving and make sure to wave! Suggested Local Attractions:Six miles to the town of Shell Lake with a beautiful swimming beach with canoe/kayak rentals. Home to the Shell Lake Arts Center and The Potters Shed Gallery. Within 30 miles to two unique Wildlife Areas: Crex Meadows and the Namekagon Barrens that are both globally rare ecosystems. Within 20 miles of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway. Kayak and canoe rentals available. This riverway protects over 250 miles of river and 80,000 acres.

HOST
Easy going people that like the simple life. Details: We are both retired and enjoy serving other people, traveling, gardening, and making do with what we have. One of our most rewarding past times is raising/training service dogs to help other people that may have specific challenges in life. We are working on dog #8! We do not always have a dog in training but when we do, we have to follow certain rules for contact with other people and dogs. Home Town: Shell Lake, Wisconsin Favorite Boondocking Locations: The Northwoods including County Forest lands. We are venturing into other states, especially during the winter months. Skills or Expertise to Share: Mike is a general "Mr. Fix-it" and is always up to a challenge. Tracy is a wonderful baker and is the "cement" that holds our family together.
