About
Unlock the charm of rural serenity with a twist of cultural heritage in Eastern Iowa, where the rolling hills marry the horizon and the vines whisper the secrets of a perfect blend. Here, RV camping enthusiasts can park their homes-on-wheels amidst rows of verdant grapevines, offering a unique opportunity to wake up to sweeping views of the lush countryside. As a family-owned jewel, this local winery invites travelers to savor the fruits of labor that began with the planting of roots in 1995. The passion poured into the soil has flourished into a fine selection of wines that mirror the picturesque landscape where they're meticulously cultivated. With your RV nestled under the wide Iowan sky, you can step out and stroll directly to a historic tasting room set against the backdrop of the majestic Mississippi River. This harmonious blend of nature and nurture is a rare retreat for those seeking a tranquil yet cultured camping escapade. The tasting room, a treasure itself, resides in a resurrected monument of the past - the Historic Star Brewery Building. Here, guests can immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of flavors carefully crafted by the proprietors, who have transformed their labor of love into liquid artistry since their first product offering in 2001. This gem, an embodiment of both viticultural craftsmanship and historical preservation, is an idyllic escape for RV campers looking to indulge in the nuances of local winemaking while reveling in the peaceful embrace of the Iowan landscape. Whether it's to witness the sun dip behind the vine-covered slopes or to clink glasses in the warmth of the historic tasting room, this spot offers an RV camping experience steeped in elegance, history, and the undeniable spirit of the Midwest.
