About
As dawn breaks over the idyllic countryside, RV enthusiasts rev up for a day steeped in history and charm at a unique camping destination. Located on six sprawling acres of pastoral beauty, this historical gem invites you into the heart of a bygone era. It's an immersive experience where RV camping meets living history, offering a blend of educational exploration and serene relaxation. Step back in time to 1868, as you pitch your RV near the grounds of a site honored on the National Register of Historic Places. The pioneering spirit of W.S. Frazier, the community's founder, is palpable across the well-preserved estate, echoing tales of family and perseverance that spanned 115 years. Managed with care by the Milton-Freewater Area Historical Society, this house and farm museum is not just a place to park your RV; it's a narrative of resilient heritage. Camping here, you don't just get a spot to rest; youre treated to a full visual feast. Wander around a stunning 1918 barn, explore the quaint carriage house, and peek into several other historical buildings that once hustled and bustled as part of a turn-of-the-century working farm. Each structure tells a story and brings the past to brilliant life. Beyond the threshold of history, nature calls. An inviting walkway stretches along the nearby Walla Walla River, offering a tranquil path for morning strolls or evening contemplation as the river's gentle flow accompanies your thoughts. And for practicalities sake, RV travelers will appreciate the proximity to a convenient waste water clean out station just a few blocks away, ensuring that your camping experience is as carefree as it is captivating. Whether its the allure of yesteryear or the call of the open road that moves you, this RV camping haven beside a historic farmstead museum promises a memorable stay where every sunset is a reminder of the beauty of preserving the past while forging new memories.
