1. Two modern bohemian fifth wheels

Mandy and Kevin Holesh of @188sqft have remodeled not one, but two entire fifth wheels during their time on the road. Their first was a 2004 Keystone, where they lived for two years with their four pets. They completed so many projects on their Keystone. These include painting, installing new floors, swapping out old light fixtures for more modern ones, and decorating. They also added a backsplash in the kitchen and recovered their countertops with a cement finish, which is quite a neat look. During a later renovation phase, they created a built-in dog kennel with a seating area on top, adding both beauty and function to their living room. Their most unique upgrade was a plant shelf. This was designed to keep all of Mandy’s plants in places as they rolled down the road. In 2018, they sold their older fifth wheel and upgraded to a newer one.wp-content-uploads-2019-12-mk-5er-2.png Mandy and Kevin purchased their new toy hauler with the intention of renovating it to suit all their needs on the road. Mandy in particular needed a dedicated workspace for her silversmithing, and they wanted to include many elements of a traditional home in their home on wheels. In addition to painting, installing new floors, installing a backsplash, and new cabinetry throughout, they also completed a variety of unique projects. These include installing new basket lighting, creating a built in couch-dinette combo with an adjustable table, and even adding open shelving in the kitchen. In addition, they tiled their entire shower and created a beautiful workspace for Mandy, among many other details. The result is an absolutely stunning, modern bohemian home on wheels. 3. A modern fifth wheel, an R-pod, and a class C motorhome

Renee and Dylan of @pleadingthefifth_wheel have renovated three different RV spaces over the past three years. The first is a fifth wheel, which serves as the full time home for both them, their son Griffin, and their cat and dog (Stranger and Zuko). What was once a dark outdated space was transformed into a light and airy haven of modern design. They fully painted the interior, upgraded their flooring, and added gorgeous new lighting. They also upgraded all their furniture to include a beautiful living room area with tons of seating and a full dining area. Plants and tasteful decor complete the space and tie everything together.

After experiencing the joys of tiny living, Renee renovated two other RVs for short term travel. The first is a gorgeous R-pod, which got the same treatment as the fifth wheel. This includes paint, flooring, decorations, and of course, beautiful areas for sleeping and dining. Recently, they upgraded the R-pod to a Class C motorhome (Myrtle), which has already accompanied them on a few adventures. Myrtle now has a fresh coat of paint, beautiful new decor, a colorful new backsplash, new bedding, and so much more. See photos below for more remodel ideas.

3. A vintage motorhome, an R-pod, and a travel trailer

Mallory and Justin McCrea of @wheres.mal.now have renovated three RVs in the past couple of years. Their first was Big Wanda, which served as their main home for them and their four cats for two years. Wanda is an 80s motorhome who received a full facelift. New cabinetry, new flooring, new lighting, paint, new furniture and decorations all contributed to Wanda’s beauty. They essentially gutted Wanda and started fresh, which allowed them to fully customize her according to their living needs. The results are quite remarkable. wp-content-uploads-2019-12-wmn-mh-1-1024x768.jpg

After remodeling Wanda, Mallory and Justin decided to try their hand at two different trailers for shorter trips. The first was an R-pod, who received an interior upgrade, involving paint, floors, decorations, bedding, and a kitchen backsplash. After spending a winter traveling in the R-pod, Mallory and Justin decided to purchase a slightly larger trailer to better accommodate their needs on the road. This one also received fresh paint, new floors, modern decorations, and the beautiful rustic touches that they added to all of their renovation projects. See photos below for all three trailer renovations. wp-content-uploads-2019-12-wmn-rpod-1-1024x1024.jpg

4. A vintage trailer restoration

Abigail Schilling is the proud owner of Pheribee, a restored 1966 Kit Companion trailer. When Abigail purchased Pheribee, the vintage trailer had already been restored. However, she also completed a variety of projects on the trailer, such as painting all the cabinetry white, creating a desk/workspace area, installing a fridge, and creating a hidden litter box area for her cats. She has since added many more features that make life on the road and in a vintage trailer much easier. Check out her photos below for more remodel details and inspiration.
