The directions to the winery were good, but the inclusion of GPS coordinates made the whole trip that day stay on-track. The parking was excellent, under a big shade tree. The inclusion of an option to connect to electricity was also welcome. The hostess in the winery was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make us welcome and make our stay enjoyable. The wine selections were excellent and the pizza was great. We will be back here any time we are reasonably in the area.”

The winery also provides a perfect base for exploring the region's nearby attractions, such as Decorah and the Amish country. Visitors can take self-directed tours, stroll through historic towns, and indulge in local cuisine.  Harvest Host Member Andrew really enjoyed the area: “Our first time here and it was fantastic. We were the sole campers on a beautiful Saturday night with a level pull-thru site with 50 amp power. Very nice not having to disconnect our toad and having power for $7 was also great. Staff were warm and welcoming. My wife and I each had a flight of wine tasting for super reasonable prices along with flatbread pizza and the greek salad. Also picked up a fun bottle of wine as a gift for a sister. We walked the scenic countryside vineyard and then sat back down on the patio to enjoy the gorgeous pictured sunset. Top-rated HH stay---thank you! For those traveling from out of the area, it’s a gorgeous region. We walked all over Decorah and did self-directed Amish tours while in the area.” Winnesheik Wildberry Winery offers a unique and unforgettable experience for travelers looking for a peaceful and charming stopover. From its vineyards to its welcoming staff, everything about this Harvest Host location exudes warmth and hospitality.
