Touring Beck’s Harvest House

Harvest Hosts is a unique RV membership program with a large network of available hosts. So far, 4994+ locations have opened their hearts and their homes and/or businesses to members of the Harvest Hosts RVing community. Through this program, members receive overnight accommodations with no camping fees in peaceful and serene places across North America. In return, members are asked to make a purchase to patronize the small business that hosts them. Of these Hosts, Beck’s Harvest House is particularly special. Here you can learn all about the farm’s history, its origins within the Harvest Hosts community, and what future visitors can expect to experience.

The History

Located in the Colbert/Green Bluff area of Washington state, Beck’s Harvest House has been a part of the Beck family since 1987. In 1989, the farm gained new ownership, and the orchard was quite old and overgrown. Since that time, the Beck family has replanted nearly every tree in their orchard, and they now offer over 100 varieties of fruit for both U-pick and we-pick options. Because of their three decades of history, the farm was deemed as the longest-running, single-family-owned operation in Green Bluff. Today, they continue to run their amazing business, filled with opportunities for apple picking, cherry picking, peach picking, and more.cr

The Business Today

Today, Beck’s Harvest House continues to operate a successful business with quite a few different areas. One of their biggest offerings is their U-pick fruit. This allows visitors to hand pick a variety of seasonal fruits, including raspberries, cherries, peaches, pears, apricots, rhubarb, and, of course, apples. There is also an on-site country store, selling a variety of products made on the farm or elsewhere. These include fresh produce, premier wine and craft beer, delicious homemade sauces, rubs, jams, teas, spices, and more.

For breakfast and lunch, they offer a country kitchen, featuring their famous baked goods, as well as a variety of sandwiches and breakfast items. Their outdoor patio offers fantastic views of Mount Spokane, for an awesome dining experience. Finally, each year they operate a Fall Harvest Festival, complete with pumpkins, pumpkin donuts, apple cider, craft booths, live music, and apple picking. This is the ultimate autumn experience that you will not want to miss.

Visiting as a Harvest Hosts Member

Beck’s Harvest House joined the Harvest Hosts family just about a month ago. While they are relatively new to the program, they have had many Harvest Hosts visitors, as well as nothing but glowing reviews. Guests have especially enjoyed the summer fruit and country store, as well as the restaurant and the weekly live music. Currently, you can reserve one of two pet-friendly spaces for RVs under forty-five feet in length for their June through October season (no weekends in October).

Beck’s Harvest House encompasses some of the best of what Harvest Hosts has to offer. If you are wanting an authentic Washington agricultural experience, consider a brief stay at Beck’s Harvest House. You will be glad you did.
