About
Envision a retreat where history whispers through the walls and the landscape tells a story of timeless beauty. Unfold your map and chart a course to a pastoral 60+ acre village in Vermont, where the legacy of African American pioneer Alexander Lucius Twilight is etched in stone and greenery. This unique RV camping destination is a serene haven that boasts a harmonious blend of education, heritage, and natural splendor. Welcome to a living museum under the open sky, where the Old Stone Housea symbol of resilience and historystands guard at the village's heart. Immerse yourself in a historical journey across eight remarkable buildings, each holding secrets of a bygone era, waiting to be discovered by curious minds and history enthusiasts. Elevate your adventure to new heights by ascending Prospect Hill and feel your breath catch at the stunning panorama from the Observatory Tower. Roam through the Heritage Apple Orchard, where fruit-laden branches are a testament to nature's bounty. Wander the Giving Gardens, where the fruits of labor shared are as rich as the soil. Challenge yourself on the over one-mile Twilight Educational Trail, an interactive path where hikers, skiers, and snowshoers can explore the vitality of the landscape through all seasons. There's no need for campfires here; the warm glow of learning and the heat of exploration are enough to kindle the spirit of every traveler. Take notewhile open flames are not permitted, the warmth of this community and its storied past will create a brilliant spark in your RV camping adventure, making it memorable without a flickering flame. Pack your sense of wonder, your thirst for knowledge, and your love for the great outdoors, and prepare to park your RV amidst the echoes of history and the natural beauty of Vermont's countryside.
