About
Escape to a quaint haven where time stands still, enveloped by the gentle whispers of nature and the rich history of Waterbury Center, Vermont. Here, RV camping enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the serenity of an 1850 homestead, resonating with the soulful presence of friendly rescue goats and hens. As you settle in for a stay on this 6-acre expanse, just 5 miles from the buzz of the town, allow the tapestry of green meadows, vintage apple orchards, wild black raspberry patches, and a spectrum of majestic trees to be your backdrop for an unforgettable escape. This warm and inviting residence prides itself on being a safe space, celebrating diversity in all its forms and honoring the heritage of the Abenaki people who have cherished this land for millennia. RV campers can revel in their own slice of paradise, exploring the lush grounds where wildlife roams free and nature puts on an exuberant show. When dusk descends, gather around the communal fire pit, where laughter mingles with the crackle of flames and the dance of fireflies punctuates the night sky. While enjoying the RV camping experience, guests are provided with ample opportunities for both social engagement and private contemplation. Stroll down the street to discover the charms of the town green, sip on apple cider, or challenge yourself at a round of disc golf. The nearby Waterbury Center State Park beckons with its inviting waters, ideal for kayaking, canoeing or just basking in the sun's warm embrace on a peaceful picnic. Sustainability and respect are core values here; RV travelers must come prepared with self-contained units and adhere to considerate use of generators. In this community where tranquility reigns, children and furry companions are welcome, so long as they're minded around open waters and potential wildlife encounters. This homestead caters to those who steer smaller rigs and are adept at navigating their vehicles into cozy camping spots. With the potential for extended stays and flexibility in arrangements, the hosts embody the spirit of hospitality and connectivity. Extend your journey to personal wellness with mindfulness meditation sessions, led by a host committed to healing and supporting those emerging from trauma. Your participation not only enhances your own peace but also contributes to meaningful causes, reinforcing the cycle of giving that defines this tranquil destination. Discover the charm of RV camping at a placid retreat that exemplifies the essence of community, history, and the resplendence of Vermont's natural beauty. Here, under the watchful gaze of green-covered hills and open, starlit skies, you're not just parking your RV; you're becoming part of a legacy that's as enduring as the stone and as inspiring as the stars.

Parking & Arrival
The parking spot is situated between a meadow on an incline and a glen with woods above a brook. The site is about 50 feet from our little street but feels enclosed because of the topography and the barrier of a little apple tree. There is a shallow incline on grass to a small flat section suitable for rigs 25 feet or less. You will have to be able to back your vehicle up to get in or out. Surface is grass. If it has been raining, it can be soft. Some will want to consider an alternative in that case.
