We are a fifth-generation working farm — and we mean working. The kind where the alarm goes off before the sun does, boots stay muddy, and the smell of fresh-turned earth and sweet corn hangs in the air all season long. Our Sweetcorn is something special — picked fresh and available through September 15th, it goes into every farmshare box we put together for our Harvest Hosts guests. The breeding stock cows next door have figured that out too, and if the timing is right, you may get the chance to feed them a few ears yourself. They're not subtle about how much they love it. Come September 18th, the farm shifts into fall mode — pumpkin patch, mums, popcorn, and other harvest items. Tractor rides out to the field, or around the farm if the mud decides to have a say, which it often does. Real farm life. It smells like it, sounds like it, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
