Our property was a working potato farm until the mid 90's. Stockholm was originally settled by Swedish immigrants in the late 19th century. They still celebrate many Swedish traditions in many of the neighboring towns. New Sweden has a Midsommar festival in June, Stockholm has an awesome July 4th parade, Caribou and Presque Isle have many events during the winter and summer months. There are spectacular views from the upper field of our property as well as secluded locations if you prefer a more private area. And the stargazing at night is amazing. We also have maintained trails to take a relaxing walk or we have about 20 acres of ungroomed woods to ramble around. The side by side trails are about a mile down the street as well as snowmobile trails in the winter. We have a small shop where we offer hand-stitched corn brooms. You can buy one of those and get the handle personalized to remember your trip. They are great for sweeping out the dirt and dust from your latest adventure. The town of Caribou is just 20 minutes south, where you can get a bite to eat or just check out the town. Fort Kent is about 40 minutes north where you can travel America's first mile.
