About
We purchased six wooded acres adjacent to the Norfork Lake Corp of Engineers land in 2016. We have cleared about three acres and put up two metal buildings (one of which contains our residence). We have a gravel driveway onto the property that requires a 90 degree turn to get into. We can make the turn with our 45' 5th-wheel but it can be tight for larger rigs. We have a gravel pad with a 50 amp RV Panel and good potable well water. We have our own well on the property that provides great water quality. We have an inside dog that runs off-leash when we are outside with her. You are welcome to bring pets as long as they get along with ours. Parking is not a problem for tow vehicles. Our place is very quiet and remote with great lake access. Suggested Local Attractions: We have a .8 mile gravel access road adjacent to our property that leads to a boat launch for Norfork Lake. We are also close to hiking trails and about 8 miles from Mountain Home, Arkansas where you can find shopping and supplies.

Law enforcement consultant/Laboratory Scientist, Christians, travelers. Details: I am a law enforcement consultant specializing in police resource allocation studies. My wife is a traveling health care worker. We have three grown children and live in the Ozark Mountains of north central Arkansas. We are currently full-timing in our 5th wheel during the week and coming home some weekends when we are close enough to home. Home Town: Mountain Home, Arkansas Favorite Boondocking Locations: Just about anywhere but the desert. We tend to prefer thick forested areas and mountains. Skills or Expertise to Share: We enjoy most things outdoors. When our kids were younger, we were into ATVs and hiking. As they started to leave for college, we moved to off-road jeeping and motorcycles. Now we have added boating on Lake Norfork, searching for waterfalls, national parks, and working around our new property. My hobbies include woodworking, tinkering with small engines, and general home repair while my wife enjoys flowers, baking, and spending time together.

House Rules
We are Christ-followers and live a conservative lifestyle. I am also a retired police officer. You are welcome to have legally-owned firearms on our property but please keep them in your rig and out of site. You are welcome to have alcohol on our property as long as you are of age and consume responsibly. We do not allow any form of recreational drug use or possession on our property, even if it is legal in our state. We have zero tolerance for drugs or excessive alcohol use, you will be escorted off our property immediately and not allowed to return. We live in the country but do have neighbors across the street so we ask that you be respectful of others in our neighborhood. We prefer that generators are not run after 10 pm unless they are of a newer low decibel type. If you are in a larger rig running 3 air conditioners in the summer or a heat pump in the winter, we ask that you consider a $15/night utility donation instead of the $10/night fee.
Parking & Arrival
Access Road Conditions: We turn around in the gravel lot and head back out the way we came. There is a 3.5 mile road from State Route 5 to our location. The road is a two-lane, striped, black-topped state road that is very well maintained. However, this is Arkansas and the road is curvy with a few hills. I don't have any problem with my 45' Riverstone. The Corp of Engineers used to run a campground just down from our property that was shut down many years ago so the road has seen many campers over the years. If you are willing to do some curves and a hill or two, the view from our area and the access to Norfork Lake is worth it! We have raised the canopy on our driveway to accommodate taller vehicles so you don't have to worry about scratching your rig. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: We have six acres of land with unlimited space for tow vehicles. In most cases, you will need to unhook your tow vehicle to get backed in. You can park your towed vehicle next to your rig on the gravel pad. If you come when it is raining, we have a large gravel area you can park in. Arkansas is very rocky and our place takes that to the extreme. The ground is very hard and will support most any rig without issue.
