About
We live on a small farm in the country about an hour from Kings Canyon National park and 1.5 hours to the south entrance of Yosemite. We have goats, chickens (including a rooster), cats and dogs who patrol the property and as such, it can be lively and noisy at times. We live directly across from an active citrus farm set up and therefore orchard fans (running continuously at night in frost season) and other farm equipment may be in use during your stay. There is wonderful produce all around and many great day trips you can take to Forestiere Underground Gardens, the Blossom Trail and more. If you are visiting during the Spring/Summer, there are many local fruit stands to buy juicy strawberries (April/May) and peaches/stone fruit (June - August). We'd be happy to point you in that direction. Parlier also boasts some wonderful Mexican food. We have a local place that sells street tacos for $1.75 each that is a favorite easy meal option (Taqueria Zihuatenajo located at 13129 Parlier St). Suggested Local Attractions:Yosemite National Park Kings Canyon National Park Sequoia National Park Foresterie Underground Gardens Pinchushion Mountain
