Harvest Host & Boondocker Write-up: In the quiet village of Kelwood, on the east side of beautiful Riding Mountain National Park, Smokey’s Hollow offers a quiet and safe spot to park. Amenities and attractions: • Two great restaurants – The Farmer’s Daughter at The Barn & Café 37 (only open Fridays & Saturdays and the first and third Sunday) • Kelwood Arboretum & Garden • The Mtn General convenience store and gas bar • Annual Harvest Sun Music Fest • Annual Eleanor Rose Outdoor Quilt Show • Barn quilt capital of Manitoba • Annual AG fair and car show • Access to miles and miles of hiking and biking trails • The Mtn Market is held every Saturday in the summer. • The Old Railroad Hiking Trail – a two-mile trail - is a few feet away from the campsite • Home of the Harvest Sun Music & Art Society • The first annual Boom Chuck Old-Time Music Camp will take place in August 2024 • 1-5 day stays • Pets are welcome but must be on a leash in town limits. • Garbage container on site. • No generators allowed - inverters only • We require that guests travel in self-contained RVs. Types of RVs include motorhomes, campervans, travel trailers, fifth-wheel trailers, popup campers and truck campers, so long as they are self-contained. NO tents, minivans, cars, or pick-up trucks will be allowed to join as guests. Important: Your RV must have an interior toilet and built-in holding tanks or bladders for waste water. Porta-potties that remain inside the vehicle at all times are acceptable, but must be dumped off-site at an appropriate facility. The dumping of gray water on Host properties is prohibited.
