About
1785 Historic Federal-style farmhouse on 100 wooded acres. Quiet road and trails good for walking. Fire pit and large Koi pond on property, good swimming pond 1/2 mile away. Your boondocking spot (back in only) will be across the street from the main house, tucked in between the stone wall and the red barn where our chickens will keep you company (don't worry - no roosters). Electric available. Water tanks can be filled at the main house before you settle in. We can accommodate Class B, Class C and small Class A Motorhomes and small travel trailers. Sorry, but we are unable to host larger motorhomes, travel trailers or 5th Wheels. Suggested Local Attractions: We are within 1/2 hour of Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Norman Rockwell Musuem, Great Barrington, Lee, Stockbridge and Lenox, Access to Appalachian and other walking/hiking trails nearby.

A couple of part-time RV'ers Details: My Husband and I love to RV and meet fellow RV'ers. We adore the National Parks and have made 2 three-month-long cross country trips in the US and shorter trips on the east coast and across eastern Canada, including Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Loved them all! We're interested in history, culture, good food and meeting local folks. We are also a boondocker's host location (Beautiful Berkshires). Home Town: Sandisfield, MA in the beautiful Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We have enjoyed a number of Boondocker's Welcome locations and also some BLM lands out west (one of the best was at Joe Skeen BLM campground at El Malpais National Monument, New Mexico). Another nice boondocking location was through Harvest Hosts at Vermillionville outside Lafayette, Louisiana. We've also hosted almost 100 boondockers at our "Beautiful Berkshires" host location. Skills or Expertise to Share: My husband Ron is an excellent amateur genealogist and history buff and has written several history books. I am an IT consultant and love to figure out how to get the best internet on the road. I have a degree in music from the Boston Conservatory and I love to sing and to play the ukulele. When we're not traveling, we participate in a community theater group and I also teach ukulele and lead a local community ukulele group.
