We live in a rural farming community. Our property is pretty secluded from the neighbors. The road is pretty quiet most of the time. The camping spot is grassy and has a fire ring for cooking. There is a large fire pit in our back yard if you would like to have an evening fire and we are not using it. The camping spot can accommodate up to a 35 foot camper however if you have a larger rig you are welcome to park in our driveway. There is not a water hook up however there is an outdoor faucet available to fill water jugs. We have a hobby farm with free range chickens. Shoes are recommended, chickens are not shy when it comes to going to the bathroom. There is a trail for walking through our woods. If you are here in mid to late spring you can enjoy falling asleep to the sound of hundreds (possibly thousands) of frogs. We have a swamp on the northeast section of our property that is full of frogs. Rabbits frequently wander around the yard. On occasion bald eagles can be spotted flying overhead or sitting at the top of the larger trees. The field across the street to the north and east of us is home to cranes. We cannot always see them however we can almost always hear them. The 50 vacant acres next to us is home to lots of deer that can sometimes be seen from our yard and crossing the road. Suggested Local Attractions:We are just outside Manistee National Forest which offers ATV trails and sightseeing. Boat launch on Muskegon River is approximately 15 minutes away. Canoe and kayak rental in Newaygo on Muskegon River about 30 minutes away. Tube rental approximately 15 minutes away. Two boat launches within 15 minutes on the Muskegon River. Amish grocery store, tack shop, and furniture stores within 15 minutes. Highly recommend Jimmy's Roadhouse in Newaygo (25 minutes).
