We live in a quiet neighborhood with a lake across the street. Nice neighborhood to take a walk or ride your bikes. Not a lot of traffic. We live near the DeSoto National Forest that has hiking and biking trails. We are located less than 10 miles north of I-10 and about 15 miles north of highway 90 and the Gulf of Mexico. We are close to an outlet mall, Military bases, casinos and lots of interesting places to explore, Museums, a brand new Aquarium, the beach, etc. We have lots of events that happen yearly like Mardi Gras parades, a 7 week long horse show in Feb-Mar, Cruising the Coast the 1st weeks of Oct (huge classic car event that goes on for a week). We are also an easy drive to New Orleans for a nice day trip (appx 1-1 1/2 hrs away). Suggested Local Attractions:The beach, Ship Island Ferry, new Aquarium, museums.
