The iconic Vernelle's Motel is located on the original Historic Route 66 in Phelps County Missouri for those who share the love and history of the Mother Road. Conveniently located just ½ mile off of I-44, we offer overnight parking for weary RV travelers looking for a safe place to park for the night. Whilst here you can stretch your legs as you take a stroll down Historic Route 66 to visit the iconic John’s Modern Cabins, or browse the little antique shop which is open Thursday thru Saturday Noon to 4p (other days/hours by appointment). Furbabies on leashes are always welcome. We do ask that you promptly pick up after your pup. Parking is available in the upper little field by the tower and includes a large stone bonfire pit and picnic tables. It looks grassy, but under the grass les several inches of packed millings so no worries of even the biggest rig getting stuck should it rain. Quiet Time is from 8p to 9a. Please refrain from running generators during those times. Note that we are currently in the process of building a full-service RV park that will be truly big rig friendly with FHU pull-thru sites as well a few FHU back-in sites, so at times there may be heavy equipment operating periodically nearby during the day.

Your membership includes an overnight stay at a Host. Extra nights are available at the Host's discretion.

From Arlington Rd, pull into the main drive leading up to the Motel. Make a right on the blacktop at the mailboxes, follow the blacktop to the gravel drive on the right. Pull or back into the little field on the left, between the drive and the cell phone tower.
