The iconic Vernelle's Motel is located on the original Historic Route 66 in Phelps County Missouri for those who share the love and history of the Mother Road. Conveniently located just ½ mile off of I-44, we offer overnight parking for weary RV travelers looking for a safe place to park for the night. Whilst here you can stretch your legs as you take a stroll down Historic Route 66 to visit the iconic John’s Modern Cabins, or browse the little antique shop which is open Thursday thru Saturday Noon to 4p (other days/hours by appointment). Furbabies on leashes are always welcome. We do ask that you promptly pick up after your pup. Note that we are currently in the process of building a full-service RV park that will be truly big rig friendly with FHU pull-thru sites as well a few FHU back-in sites, so at times there may be heavy equipment operating periodically nearby during the day.
