About
We are a community center in Lowville, New York that welcomes everyone to a place of recreation, relief, and restoration. Home to the largest snow tubing hill in upstate New York, the center is also a venue for weddings and events. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Lowville, New York, we have a rich history that mirrors the evolution of the land it occupies. Originally a thriving horse farm, the property was transformed in 2002 when it came under the management of the Adirondack Mennonite Camping Association (AMCA), which envisioned a community hub that honored the area’s natural beauty and agricultural heritage. We have quickly become a vibrant venue, offering a diverse range of programs and spiritual services that foster connection among the residents of Lewis County and beyond. Grounded in values of community and creation care, the center has established itself as a sanctuary for recreation, relief, and restoration, inviting visitors to explore its scenic views of the Black River Valley and the majestic Adirondack Mountains. With its convenient access to major highways and nearby state resources like the Otter Creek Horse Trails and the Tug Hill Region, we have blossomed into a dynamic gathering place for families, groups, and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Its unique features, including the longest snow tubing hill in New York State and an innovative in-house maple syrup production project, showcase the center’s commitment to providing memorable experiences while honoring its agricultural roots. Today, we stand as a testament to the power of community and the beauty of nature, continuously evolving to meet the needs of its visitors while nurturing the values that inspired its creation.
