Hi, my name is Jeanette and my husband is Jeff. In Jan 2020 we purchased a 7.5 acre track of land just before the height of covid-19. During this time while businesses were shut down and families remained home, we began to work diligently towards establishing what is known today as Agape Farm of Watha. That wasn't always the plan. The original plan did not include anything more than to build our dream home and retire. We pictured a place for our grandkids to enjoy four-wheelers and to learn about country life! However, God had a different plan. Instead of giving us our dream home and retirement, he gave us a cozy "barndominium" and enlarged our borders with new found friends! In late 2021, we opened our farm up to the public. We host 3 "large" events. A spring, fall and Christmas event. We also offer daily farm tours, birthday parties and many other events such as pet & paint for adults and for kids! We are a non-alcoholic venue. To help offset our farm expenses, we sell t-shirts and other merchandise. There's something about waking up to hearing all types of farm animals saying "good morning"! Our mornings are pretty special! However, our afernoons are too! Take in a beautiful sunset and mix in some fun farm animals to make a wonderful evening! Our farm partially borders I-40 and is about 40 miles north of Wilmington, NC. Within minutes of the farm there are grocery, clothing and hardware stores, restaurants, laundry facilities and entertainment. Everything you might need as you travel can be found within a 30-40 mile radius of the farm. Wilmington is one of the most sought after destinations on the southeast coast! It offers beautiful beaches, historic downtown waterfront dining, museums, NC USS Battleship and picturesque gardens so there's something for everyone! However, don't spend all your time in Wilmington because there's so much to see in the area! Located only minutes away from the farm in Rose Hill is Duplin Winery, NC's oldest winery! Take a tour, visit their gift shop or do a little wine tasting. Just a short drive in the opposite direction you'll find Miller's Pond in Rocky Point whre you can launch your kayak/canoe, enjoy a nature walk or relax at the picnic shelter while the kids play. For golfers, River Landing hosts two top courses as well as many other prestigious golf courses nearby. Visit with us where you'll enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, learn about farm life and hopefully, you'll say: "It was a good day on the farm!"
