Located in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina, Our Farm is a sacred, rustic, off-grid teaching and learning skills center where mutual aid, solidarity, and abundant generosity thrive. We are a permaculture farm. We use diverse growing methods with almost no equipment & primarily human & animal labor. We host lots of workshops & gatherings to share skills around natural building, farming & gardening, life off-grid, art, community building, lots of cool stuff!! We are a not for profit farm; we certainly rely on commerce, but we believe there is enough when we all learn to lighten our footprints, and share our abundance. We really try to live the life we love & love the life we live!! We have a lovely garden you may tour & a few trails around the land. The water hookup is from our gravity fed spring water. We have a community space you can check out to see some of our natural building work. Inside you may borrow games, books, maps, musical instruments. There is a fire ring which you may use beside the pond & down in the forest behind the parking. There are a couple picnic tables you may use, & we have kayaks & tubes you can borrow to play on our little pond. There is a jeep trail that leaves the farm you can hike out or mountain bike. We are 15 min from Blue Ridge Parkway, New River, 25 min from Boone, 15 min from West Jefferson, NC. Please check our website for event schedules. Always close any gates :)
