Wapakoneta is the hometown of Neil Armstrong, First Man on the Moon. There is a Space Museum with outside & inside moon/space displays. 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing. There will be many special events ongoing thru the year with July being the highlite month. We are 3 blocks from Neil's boyhood home which has a small personal display. Our town is a hotspot for antique shops. There is a city water park, several play parks & dog park. We are a quiet community where you can bike/walk anytime of day. We are 15 miles from 2 large boating/fishing lakes (indian - Grand lake) Suggested Local Attractions:Museum, antiques, parks.
