About
Private family land held since the 1889 Land Run of Oklahoma. This is offered for Boondocking and No Impact Camping on 100plus acres of semi-undeveloped land that has two intermittent creeks merging into one with dramatic red dirt walls and ravines and gullies. The elevation drop is approximately 100ft to creek bed. There are some roads to flat field-like areas where we used to produce oil, but not for over 30 years. We have an area that can hold RVs and we have trails leading to the creek areas which can offer no impact camping. The creeks are delightful to explore. We are very new in opening our farm to this experience and would love for people to enjoy the gorgeousness of primitive lands with some primitive trails. Two fields on the property would yield for flying kites and star gazing at night. We sell seasoned Eastern Redcedar firewood never meant for a fireplace, but great for chimeneas and firepits. The red dirt rural county roads have little traffic and are great for gravel road biking. Bird watching is a blast as all kinds have taken up home in these forests some might find 400-year-old trees dotting the nearby creeks. Fish are present when the creeks are charged with the Springtime rains. They flow red and settle clear after a few days. Wintertime they freeze over in the few places holding water year-round letting you know the water is healthy. If you are into Remote Control cars/trucks etc. and fun, you are sure to find places to run them. This is brand new venture for our family, and you would be some of the first people to explore this private land that is so dramatic in its diversity of forest and bluestem hills, to red dirt wall creeks dropping 20ft in some case to the dry creek bed below. We are located in East Logan County south of the Cimmaron River and north of the 105 Hwy at Luther Rd. 2 miles of gravel road from the 105 Fwy is all you must slowly travel. The 105 Hwy is a gorgeously well paved drive capturing the stunning rise and fall of the topography abutted by Ranches and farmland so the light pollution is minimal and the sunsets are magnificent. The opportunity for an unforgettable experience is there, however, there is no water or power on the property available. We are building towards developing the basics in due time.
