About
Immerse yourself in the heart of nature at this serene wilderness riverfront oasis, where modern RV camping meets the untouched beauty of West Virginia's landscapes. Situated on a tranquil dead-end road, yet a stone's throw from the charming town of Parsons, WV, this picturesque camp offers adventurers nearly 4 miles of pristine riverfront access set against the backdrop of Tucker County's historical tourist towns of Thomas, Davis, and Canaan Valley. Step into a realm where the confluence of the Dryfork and Blackwater Rivers creates a natural playground, beckoning with the sweet promise of adventure. Less than half a mile downstream, a pedestrian cable suspension bridge offers a picturesque crossing to Hendricks, while the Fernow Experimental Forest and the sprawling expanse of the Monongahela National Forest wrap around this secluded haven, inviting exploration. Spanning 35 acres of unlogged wilderness forest, our camp is a sanctuary for those seeking escape. Roam our roads and trails, or sit by the 2100 feet of riverfront on the Dry Fork River, where peace and tranquility are the order of the day. Cyclists delight in two significant bike trails that begin just beyond the Hendricks Swinging Cable Suspension Bridge, offering unparalleled opportunities to explore. For the RV camping enthusiast, our site boasts 10 meticulously chosen short-term RV spots near the river, perfectly suited for RVs up to 30 feet. For those seeking a more rustic experience, we offer 15 camping sites, complete with fire pits and slab wood benches, as well as 5 primitive shelter cabin sites, providing a unique blend of comfort and adventure. With electric and water access near the office cabin and selected RV sites, and boondocking options available, we cater to a range of preferences. Beyond the comfort of your RV or campsite, a world of outdoor activities awaits. From kayaking, swimming, and tubing in our rivers and creeks, to hiking and biking through unspoiled forests, every day is an invitation to explore and enjoy. The presence of waterfalls adds a magical touch to the surroundings, ensuring that your stay is not just a visit, but an experience to be cherished. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventure-filled getaway, our wilderness riverfront oasis is the ultimate destination for RV camping enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
