We are active RVrs who would like to offer a quiet place to stay for a night or two. My husband is a veteran and retired from the government; I’m a retired teacher. We live right outside a small historical town on land that is full of wildflowers, deer, and an occasional eagle or two. It's nothing fancy but there is a lot of wide open space. When there are no clouds, the night sky is gorgeous with very little light interference. Devil's Tower is about 25 miles north of us. We're approximately 30 miles from Spearfish, SD; 40 miles to Sturgis; 70 miles to Rapid City, SD; 60 miles to Gillette, WY. Please note: I recently blocked off winter dates from 20 Oct to around 1 Apr 2025. I left the first few weeks of Oct open but they will be available only if the weather cooperates and winter does not come early. Same for the end of the calendar in April. We've had snowstorms in Apr and May so if you're requesting days that far out, it will be tentative until we get closer to the time to see what winter has brought us.

***Do not follow GPS directions as they may take you through town and out a road that RVs and trailers are not allowed on. I will send directions 1-2 days before your arrival date. We have a large circular driveway, so no turn around is necessary. You will be parked on a level gravel surface as shown in photo. Tow vehicle or truck can be disconnected and the RV can remain in place if you want to go into town or check out the area. The main road off the interstate to get to our place is gravel (about a mile) and the speed limit is 30 mph.

Non-aggressive dogs are welcome please clean up after them. They can run around without a leash as long as they don't chase deer. No smoking, please, and you will need to take your trash with you. Note: if you are using 30 amp electric you have to have an adapter to plug into our 50 amp power.
