About
Unleash the call of the wild within as you settle into a unique RV camping experience on a sprawling 125-acre bison ranch, where the majestic Portneuf River weaves its scenic path right through the heart of this pastoral landscape. This working ranch doesn't just promise breathtaking views but is a treasure chest of natural bounties, giving you a chance to reconnect with nature while pampering your senses with an authentic ranch lifestyle. As your RV nestles on a gravel parking area, bordered by nature's ever-changing tapestryfrom the lush greens of spring to the earthy hues of summer and fallbask in the thrill of residing alongside all-natural, grass-fed bison. They roam free, hormone-free, and content, embodying the spirit of the range. Beyond the idyllic setting for your RV stay, the ranch invites guests to partake in seasonal tours, providing a close encounter with these magnificent creatures for a nominal fee. The experience, infused with interactive moments and lasting 1-2 hours, will satisfy any curiosity about these gentle giants. Just remember to sync with the ranch's calendar for these memorable rides that run daily when operational. Even the little explorers are not forgotten, with a sprinkle of playground toys dotted around to ignite their youthful spirits. Moreover, the ranch's bounty extends to its produce, offering visitors the chance to purchase bison meat, jerky, and other derived goods, subject to availabilitya testament to sustainable, responsible farming. RV camping here is a blend of adventure and tranquility, with the amenities of Lava Hot Springs just a 10-minute drive away. The hosts are as welcoming as the land, ready to assist as you get close, ensuring your arrival and parking is as seamless as the river's flow. Please note the seasonality of this destination, as the ranch hibernates from October through March, with the last wagon ride of the open season on October 1st. Though the RV camping may follow the rhythms of Mother Nature, the ranch stands ready to supply its bison meat and potentially offer stays as long as conditions permit. For those spontaneity-driven travelers, day-of reservations are a possibility, so don't hesitate to reach out for a last-minute nature escape. Immerse yourself in the rustic charm of RV camping amidst a living, breathing bison ranch where every day brings a new horizon and every nightfall whispers stories of the wild under star-laden skies.

Parking & Arrival
Parking Instructions- GPS will get you here but just in case- If coming from the north or south, take exit 47 and drive past the gas stations to Old Highway 91. If coming thru Lava Hot Springs, follow GPS to 5801 S Old Highway 91. Turn onto Old Highway 91. We are approximately 3/4 of a mile on the left; a white house on a hill. My driveway is paved and we have a "Buffalo meat" sign at the entrance. Once you pull off Old Hwy into the drive please stop and look around so you know where you are going. It is hard for bigger rigs to turn around if you end up at my house! If you are towing a car, please remove it before arriving. Most people stop at the Flying J just off the freeway to do this. Turn into the drive and about 1/2 way up the drive turn right onto the new gravel road. Follow the road to the chicken coop/garden area. Turn right- in front of the garden and back into a spot in front of the “pick-up sticks” wood pile. We don’t use the road by the fence so you can move over as far as you need! You DO NOT need to back all the way to the wood pile!!! There is room for 3 RVs there. If you are first, please park closest to the fence, second in the middle and third closest to the play area. Once you are set, please plan to check-in at the house. Let me know if you have any questions! We look forward to meeting you.
