About
This 5.5-acre hobby farm sits nestled in the heart of rural Illinois, surrounded by expansive corn and soybean fields that create unobstructed views in every direction. The property features a beautifully maintained 103-year-old farmhouse, original barn, and livestock facilities, all set beneath towering shade trees. RV guests park on a level concrete pad or gravel circular drive with ample room to maneuver, even for large rigs with tow vehicles. The peaceful, pastoral setting—just outside the historic town of Lebanon and within a half-hour of major attractions like the Gateway Arch and St. Louis—makes this an ideal base for exploring the region while enjoying genuine countryside tranquility.
The property invites guests to experience rural life up close with free-roaming chickens, friendly goats, pigs, and opportunities to observe honeybees at work. Visitors enjoy relaxing by the fish pond, watching stunning sunsets over endless farmland, and taking leisurely walks around the beautifully maintained grounds. The natural charm and quiet nights create a restorative atmosphere, with many guests noting the peaceful darkness perfect for sleep and the delightful sounds of farm animals and roosters greeting the morning.
The on-site farm store showcases handcrafted items and an extensive selection of over 700 bolts of quilting fabric, making it a destination for sewers and quilters. Guests also find farm-fresh eggs and locally produced honey—including specialty creamed honey varieties. Additional offerings include handmade crafts such as quilted hot pads, soup cozies, bowl cozies, and freeze-dried treats, with many items created by hand on the property. The variety of unique, locally-made goods provides memorable keepsakes while supporting the homestead.
The welcoming hosts create an exceptionally warm experience, greeting guests upon arrival, offering farm tours, and going out of their way to ensure comfort and convenience. Electric hookups are available for an additional fee, and the level, spacious parking accommodates RVs of all sizes with ease. This combination of genuine hospitality, beautiful surroundings, quality amenities, and authentic farm experience makes it a cherished destination that guests return to again and again.
