About
As the sun rises over the verdant landscape of Hanna City, Illinois, the melody of nature's orchestra welcomes you to an unforgettable RV camping experience within a sprawling 2,000-acre zoological wonderland. Just a stone's throw away from Peoria, adventure-seekers and wildlife enthusiasts alike can immerse themselves in the untamed beauty and native wildlife of the Midwest. Your journey here promises exclusive access to the captivating West Side of the park where the rustic charm of RV camping meets the thrill of exploration. Wake up to the serene vistas and perhaps try your hand at angling in Taylor Lake, or paddle its tranquil waters. The land calls out to the intrepid with miles of hiking and mountain bike trails that weave through the biodiverse landscape. The adrenaline rush continues with a bike pump track designed to challenge and thrill, while an 18-hole professional disc golf course invites you to test your precision amidst the park's natural beauty. Sharpen your skills further on an additional executive nine, perfect for both enthusiasts and seasoned professionals. As part of your RV camping experience, we welcome you to traverse the wilderness freely and at no additional cost. However, your adventure would not be complete without a visit to the zoological park on the East Side. With admission, you'll encounter over 150 animals across 50 species, each native to Illinois. From majestic wolves and bison to playful otters, our animal family offers an up-close education on local ecosystems. Enhance this encounter with daily keeper chats, children's playgrounds, and a host of other lakes just waiting to be discovered. Seasonal attractions enrich the experience further, featuring the gentle Prairie Zephyr train ride and informative Bison and Elk Bus Tours which gracefully navigate the park's habitats. Guests are reminded that while the beauty of our zoological residents awaits, pets are to enjoy the camping area as the zoological park remains exclusively for the wild residents. Make memories that last a lifetime, and immerse yourself in a blend of relaxation and wildlife education. The essence of RV camping is redefined here, where nature's tranquility meets adventurous exploration. Come dusk, return to the embrace of your RV amid the sounds of the nocturnal creatures stirring to life, bringing a close to yet another perfect day in this Midwestern jewel.
