About
Imagine awakening to a gentle sunrise, surrounded by the curious gazes of soft, fleece-covered alpacas against the picturesque backdrop of rural Farmington, Maine. This unique destination offers a serene RV camping experience on a verdant 6 -acre plot, where the joy of peaceful country living comes alive. RV campers will be delighted to discover a charming farm store on-site, brimming with delightful goods crafted from alpaca fiber, such as cozy scarves, luxurious blankets, and snug socks. The shop doesn't stop there; it's a treasure trove of locally-sourced seasonal vegetables, handcrafted soaps, adorable stuffed animals, casual t-shirts, practical dryer balls, and whimsical coffee mugs to remember your stay by. Engage with the farm's residents up-close with scheduled guided feeding tours. For a small fee, you can immerse yourself in the world of 21 graceful huacaya alpacas and their protective llama companions. Feed these gentle creatures, pose your curiosities to knowledgeable guides, and uncover the wonders of these unique animals. For those seeking an even deeper connection with nature, the farm offers tranquil alpaca path walks. Stroll alongside these docile beings and let the stress melt away with every step taken on the lush farm grounds. Intrigue lies beyond the fences too, as this fiber farm transforms alpaca fleece into yarn right before your eyes. Witness the annual shearing event and marvel at the transformation from fluffy coats to skeins of yarn. Fiber arts enthusiasts will appreciate the availability of Ashford and Schacht Spindle Co. equipment, which can be pre-ordered to enhance your RV camping experience. As the day winds down, gather around the crackling campfire for tales and treats under the stars. Weather permitting, the evening is crowned with marshmallows toasted over open flames, creating the perfect atmosphere for endearing memories. At this alpaca haven, RV camping transcends the ordinary, blending adventure with the tranquility of farm life. Visitors depart not just with souvenirs, but with hearts warmed by the charm of the farm's woolly residents and the allure of the Maine countryside.

RV site is close to alpaca paddocks (we're not a "big" farm, everything is close) as well as our small frog pond. Site has outdoor seating and a small personal campfire. Weather permitting, we like to light up the big campfire to enjoy marshmallows when guests are visiting. The Farm Store is open by appointment from May through December. Our new Alpaca Path Walks are open as weather permits starting in May and running through the Fall. Guided Feeding Tours (in the paddocks, up close and personal) can be scheduled starting in May and will run through the end of the year (weather permitting).
