About
Immerse yourself into the tranquil serenity of the Grand River Valley, where the gentle hum of nature merges perfectly with the clinking of wine glasses. Situated a mere stone's throw away from bustling I-90, yet nestled on an oasis of calm, this RV camping gem offers not just a pit-stop, but a journey into vinicultural history and charm. As you park your RV along the quiet back road, the allure of the Grand River Valley AVA beckons, with over 20 neighboring wineries creating a tapestry of taste and tradition. This unique destination sprouts from a rich heritage of local winegrowers, some tending their family vineyards since the 1930s. With a selection spanning old-world and new-world wine varieties, including the noble Cabernet Sauvignon, the robust Cabernet Franc, the unique Dornfelder, and the crisp Riesling and Chardonnay, oenophiles will revel in the authenticity and innovation that pours from each bottle. Got an adventurous RV spirit? The Riverview Park walking trail system is simply 700 feet away, beckoning hikers and nature lovers to explore the scenic beauty along the Grand River. For those planning a leisurely weekend or a soul-refreshing extended stay, delight in knowing that you occupy one of the five cozy Harvest Hosts wineries clustered together within this fertile valley. Although two prime parking spots welcome travelers, flexibility is key here. A simple call or email might unlock additional, albeit less level parking areas, or even share a 100' long spot with another explorer. RV aficionados will appreciate the dedicated "head-in-parking" on level grassy terrain, though it requires a knack for navigating straight-back maneuvers. On days when the wine flows less freely, and the winery doors close, peace does not retreat. Instead, you may find yourself greeted by the diligent hands cultivating the vineyards or crafting future batches of liquid art inside the winery. A quick email confirmation ensures a seamless check-in, even on these hushed days of toil and preparation. In this cozy corner of the wine world, where RV camping meets a heritage of harvests, the essence of life simplifies to the exquisite sip of a well-aged tale and the comforting embrace of nature. Whether you're seeking a serene escape or a sensorial journey through vineyard-laden landscapes, this is where your RV turns into a vessel of discovery and delight.

Parking & Arrival
Check in for parking instructions. We have 2 20'x100' "parallel" parking spaces in the North Lot, and it is OK to drive on the grass (as long as it is not super wet) when getting into position. There is a 3rd "straight in" parking option on the grass near the North Drive Entrance. Look in the "Photos" for the satellite view of the property to plan your approach. Coming from I-90, the easiest path with a large rig or trailer is to: • Exit at Exit 212, Drive South on OH 528 (towards Thompson), • Drive about 1 mile South and turn Left (East) on River Road, • Drive about ½ mile East around the curve North where the road name changes to Bates, • Drive about 700’ to the Winery Driveway by the Silver Crest Sign. • Either check in at the Winery, or keep driving on the circle drive and find a parking spot by the Vineyard. To get back to I-90 the next day: • Exit the Circle Drive North onto Bates Rd. • Drive North about 1 mile to the Stop Sign, and turn left (West) onto OH 307 • Drive about ½ mile to the Stop Sign, and turn Right (North) onto OH 528 to I-90.
