About
Embrace the rustic charm of RV camping amidst the verdant greenery of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, where the sweet scent of maple welcomes you to an authentic sugar camp experience. Just a stone's throw away from the profound Flight 93 Memorial, this destination invites you to indulge in the simplicity of farm life while discovering the intricate craft of maple syrup production. Spanning over lush acres, this camp boasts an impressive 9,000 maple taps, each contributing to the creation of not only luscious maple syrup but also an array of other delectable maple treats. Witness the alchemy of syrup-making with a wood-fired evaporator paired with modern reverse osmosis technologyan educational escapade that speaks to both tradition and innovation. Satiate your maple cravings at our on-site store, where shelves brim with syrup and other maple-related delights, punctuating your RV camping stay with the sweetness of local craftsmanship. And for an added scoop of joy, visit us from May 5 to October 14 to enjoy our creamy Creemee (ice cream) on tranquil Friday and Saturday evenings. Step outside your RV and be greeted by an amphitheater of turning leaves in falla spectacle best enjoyed during a hike across the property. Search for blackberries in August, and encounter the playful antics of farm animals, from curious goats to contented cows. Children are invited to revel in the natural playground that our farm presents, from muddy adventures to cheerful stream frolics (boots recommended!). Our engaging tours demonstrate the journey from sap to syrup, filling your hour with sweet sips and the opportunity to take home a bottle or two of your favorite variety. If a tour doesn't fit into your plans, worry not, as a quick taste and shopping experience is available upon your arrival. Whether you're looking to delve into the time-honored tradition of syrup-making, unwind in the great outdoors, or let loose with a family-friendly stay, this RV camping haven marries agriculture with pleasure, wrapped in the warm embrace of Pennsylvanian hospitality.
