Touring Dalton Union Winery and Brewery

Harvest Hosts is a unique RV membership program with a large network of available hosts. So far, 5195 locations have opened their hearts and their homes and/or businesses to members of the Harvest Hosts RVing community. Through this program, members receive overnight accommodations with no camping fees in peaceful and serene places across North America. In return, members are asked to make a purchase to patronize the small business that hosts them. Of these Hosts, Dalton Union Winery and Brewery is rather exceptional. The History

After years of dabbling in winemaking and receiving positive feedback from friends and family, Tonya and Dale Mabry decided to open a winery. Combining their love of wine with their gift of hospitality, Dalton Union Winery was born.  Their original tasting room opened on August 1st, 2015, but it quickly became clear that they needed more room. Thus, on June 4th, 2016, they moved into their current tasting house. Then, in January of 2018, the brewery was launched and is now fully underway. Now able to offer wine, hard cider, mead and craft beer, Dalton Union is the only brewery in Union County and is a fun destination for a night out! For the Mabrys, going from being hobby winemakers to full-time winemakers and brewers has been a dream come true!

The Business Today

Just five years after opening, Dalton Union Winery and Brewery continues as a thriving business in the heart of Maryville, Ohio. They are located just twenty-five minutes northwest of Columbus on a ten-acre estate with a small vineyard and scenic surroundings. The business offers ample parking and a beautiful country atmosphere to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. They also provide customizable tasting options so you can enjoy as many wines, hard ciders, and/or beers that you like. On Friday nights, you can find fun activities such as Open Mic Night, Trivia, or even Karaoke. Every Saturday night, they offer live music and a food truck. They also have a gift shop, hiking opportunities, and a deck area for guests’ enjoyment.When asked about her favorite part of running the business, Tonya answered, “We always loved entertaining, and now we literally get to do it all the time. We love seeing all the smiling faces and providing a space where people can gather with friends and celebrate special occasions. It's been such a blessing, and we can't imagine doing anything else!”

Joining Harvest Hosts

In October of 2018, a customer told the Mabrys about Harvest Hosts, and they quickly joined. Since then, Dalton Union has hosted many RVers, and the hosts love hearing about RVers’ travels across the country. Many members have spoken of the Mabrys incredible kindness and hospitality, making this a welcoming place to spend the night. Nearby, they also have lots of unique things for visitors to experience. Activities include several covered bridges, the Ohio Caverns, the Mad River Mountain Ski Resort, the Honda Heritage Center, Piatt Castles, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, several golf courses, parks, trails, and so much more. Their beautiful property currently offers four pet-friendly spaces for RVs of any size.The Mabrys would love for guests to experience the Dalton Union difference and enjoy what the area has to offer!
